For an easy, fall time craft, glue together three pom poms lengthwise, add wiggle eyes to the front pom pom and you’ve got a woolly bear caterpillar!
Paper Plate Pumpkins
What you’ll need:
Paper plates
Orange paint
Green construction paper
Glue
Paint the plates orange, cut stem shapes out of the paper and glue them to the top of the plate and you’ve got a pumpkin. To mix it up a bit, use different sized plates. If you don’t feel like getting out the paint, no problem! Next time you are out at the store, buy some orange plates and black construction paper. Using the paper, cut out different shapes: circles, triangles, squares. Glue the shapes to the plates to create the eyes and nose, add a scary mouth and you’ve just created a paper Jack O’Lantern.
Paper Bag Pumpkins
What you’ll need:
Brown lunch bags
Orange paint
Green yarn
Newspapers
Paint the bags orange. After they are dry, stuff with newspaper and tie the top with green yarn. If you’d like to use the pumpkins as decorations, use different sizes of bags to enhance the visual impact.
Paper Plate Spider Webs
What you’ll need:
Paper plates
Black yarn
Plastic spiders
Cut a large circle out of the center of the plate. Cut notches along the outside of the plate. Weave the yarn in a pattern that you choose, crisscrossing a few times in the middle. Attach the spider anywhere that the yarn intersects.
