The 100th Day of School

Feb 8th, 2012 | By | Category: Reviews & Resources

If you started the school year around the end of August or beginning of September, you will be celebrating the 100th day of school this month!

A lot of teachers plan special activities for the big day. A common one is to have each student bring in 100 pieces of a snack item in a baggie to make a snack mix. Some ideas include raisins, M&Ms, chocolate morsels, mini marshmallows, conversation heart candy and cereal.

You can reinforce the topic of 100 at home. You could make up your own snack mix or you could make 10 groups of 10 to show 100. You could also talk about money; 100 pennies equal one dollar.
