Cinco de Mayo

Apr 30th, 2012 | By | Category: Featured Articles, Reviews & Resources

Contrary to popular opinion, Cinco de Mayo is not a celebration of Mexico’s independence but rather a day to remember the Mexican Army’s victory over France at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. In the United States, it’s a day to celebrate and honor Mexican culture. One of the reasons it’s a popular day in the United States is that there is no need to wonder what to cook for dinner! Any Mexican dish can create some Cinco de Mayo fun!
